Healthier way to fry my chicken!

 By Akwe Mabs

I recently bought this airfryer and decided to try it out! The result was amazing!

It is easy to use and very convenient .Even more exciting is the fact that little or no oil is required.

I  washed and cleaned the chicken (drumpsticks) very well. I seasoned the chicken with

1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 onion, teaspoon of crushed garlic, black pepper, white pepper (optional),  teaspoon of dried rosemary and chicken cube .

Generally, I like to steam my chicken before frying it. So  I placed the chicken in a pot and cooked it for 8minutes. Then I removed it, slightly coated the chicken with coconut oil for extra flavouring and transferred it into the airfryer.  I set it to 200 degrees and allowed it for 10 minutes and see how good it looks.

Lately, I have been making efforts to eat a variety of vegetables.  In this video , I stir-fried a mixture of vegetables including, cauliflower, broccoli, kale, carrots and zucchini. I love fresh mushrooms so I added some of  it.

I carefully washed, drained and chopped all the vegetables.

Then I placed the non stick fry-pan on the cooker, added  table spoon of olive oil, half onion  plus garlic, a teaspooon of black and white pepper . I then added the mushroom, and then the rest of the vegetables.

I let it fry for about 5minutes  and every thing turned out really nice , crunchy and tasty!

I served the vegetables with some boiled white rice and it was very delicious!

Please try this and let me know what you think.

Wow!

It has been so long since I added a new post to this blog!

Now I have to do better!   I will be more regular in spite of how busy things get!

These pictures were taken (in 2015) on the occasion of my graduation banquet, upon obtaining a Master of Art Degree in Educational Management and Planning.
